John: As an Adult

John has grown up in so many ways and I am so proud of him. I know that every parent says that their kid is the best, but to me, John is more than I could have ever asked for. He's a baptist now and he even got to baptize his cousin, Jesus, in the Jordan River! My son, baptizing the Messiah! He's not just a fisherman like every other man out there, he's the cousin of Jesus and he's baptizing Jesus! I just can't get over how far he's come and how well he's done up to this point. I have so much pride in my son, whom I remember to be a small boy once, just running around with his friends and playing games. He's matured so much and has really done well for himself. I love him more than anything and I will do anything for him, although he seems to be doing miraculous on his own! I feel the love for him as all mothers do, the pride and the trust as well. (:

The News of Jesus

My cousin, Mary came to see me today. She's like a sister to me; we're really close. She told me that she was also pregnant! She said her son was the son of God, my Lord! This was so miraculous because at that exact moment John kicked for the first time in my womb! I knew this was a sign from God, that this was a great piece of knowledge to behold. It was then that I blessed her. I told Mary, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me that the mother of my Lord will come to me. For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled!" I don't know why but God chose both Mary and I to help change the world's religion views, to help bring the Messiah into the world and nurture Him in the world that he will save.

The Beginning: The News of John

I'm not as young as I used to be; not young enough to have a child. I've been barren for years and as much as I have longed for a child, I know that I can't have one and it kills me every time I think about it. The other day an angel appeared to me. His name was Gabriel and I was scared. But he said to me to not be afraid and that I will have a son and I will name him John. I was so excited that the Lord heard my prayers that I didn't question anything at all. Gabriel also appeared to John, or so I've heard. He hasn't talked to anyone about anything! It is rumored that he saw a vision, of Gabriel and he was told also of John's birth. They say he didn't believe Gabriel, so he became mute. I believe that story, though, and I know that God will look after me while John comes into this world and all my prayers have been answered. Because of this, I am forever a follower of God and would do anything for him, as He has done so much for me! (:
